A clear guide to your information
This Privacy Policy explains how Tradies Now handles information from Australian homeowners, tradies, visitors and people who contact us. It follows the current quote journey, public tradie directory, direct profile enquiries, member portal, reviews, public chat and in-browser voice help.
We collect information to provide the connection service, operate member accounts and communicate about requests. The sections below explain what is public, what stays in private workflows, and what choices you have.
Please arrange an Australian legal review
This policy describes current product flows in plain English. It has not been reviewed or approved by an Australian privacy lawyer. Please have an Australian privacy lawyer review it before you treat it as final.
That note is not a substitute for this policy, your privacy choices or any rights that apply under Australian law.

01 Who we are
Tradies Now is an online connection service for Australian homeowners and independent trade businesses.
The operator
Tradies Now is operated by Ezy Flow AI Pty Ltd, ABN 74 698 854 447, in Queensland, Australia. In this policy, Tradies Now, we, us and our mean that operator.
Who this policy covers
This policy covers homeowners who request help, people who contact a public tradie profile, tradies and member businesses, reviewers, visitors who use our chat or voice help, and people who contact us about the service.
Privacy questions
Email hello@tradiesnow.com if you have a question about information handled through Tradies Now.

02 Information homeowners provide
The homepage quote journey asks for the details a tradie needs to understand a job and decide whether to make contact.
Quote request details
The form can collect:
- first name, email address and mobile number
- suburb or postcode
- selected trade, job type and preferred timing
- job description and optional extra details, such as access notes, room size, materials or what you have already tried
Optional job files
You can attach up to three job-related JPG, PNG or WEBP photos, or project PDFs, up to 5 MB each. Files are optional. If an upload fails, the request can still be saved and the form tells you that the file was not attached.
Contact permission
Before submission, the form explains that your details are used to help find suitable local tradies and that tradies may contact you about the job and pricing. By submitting, you agree to be contacted about that job by phone or email. The current product does not automatically send every homepage request to three tradies.
Contacts, events and confirmation
A successful request creates a contact record in Buildy Contacts, our CRM, with notes and tags used to handle the request. It records a quote_requested enquiry event with meaningful job context. We also send a transactional confirmation email to the address you entered. The email can include the selected trade, location, job type, timing, job details and attachment count.

03 Direct enquiries from public profiles
A homeowner can send a separate request from one published tradie profile without creating a homeowner account.
Details in the direct form
The form asks for your name, email, phone, suburb or postcode, and job details. It also includes a hidden spam-control field that is not used as a customer detail.
Where the request goes
When you submit, the request is saved in the selected tradie business’s private Tradies Now portal and a notification is sent to the business email held in its private profile. Your email is used as the reply address so the business can respond directly. The request is also synced to Buildy Contacts with a tradie-inquiry tag and event.
Contact permission and boundaries
The direct form explains that your contact details are sent only to the selected business through its private portal and business email. We share those details with that business for the requested job and its response. The selected tradie’s private contact details are not exposed on the public profile. This direct path is separate from the homepage quote journey.
One selected business
A direct profile request is addressed to the tradie whose profile you chose. It is not a promise that a request will be distributed to three businesses.

04 Information tradies provide
Tradies use a private member area to set up an account, manage a business profile, receive enquiries and manage membership.
Account and business information
A member may provide:
- account details, contact name, private phone number and private email address
- registered business name and ABN
- trade categories, primary service postcode and service areas
- website, business description, logo and work showcase photos
- a licensing and insurance declaration, licence or insurance details, supporting documents, and identity-verification information
- an answer about whether the business is a registered NDIS provider
- profile content, visibility status and the information chosen for publication
- subscription, coverage and billing status needed to operate membership
Reviews
A homeowner review can include the reviewer’s name, private email address, rating and review text. The review is held for the business’s approval before any approved name, rating, review text or date can appear on a public profile. Reviewer email addresses are not public profile fields.
Private member feedback
A tradie can optionally answer the member feedback question about what they would like the page to do. That feedback is saved for administrator review and is not displayed on public tradie profiles, the homeowner directory or other public pages.
Tradies Now privacy policy
05 Public and private tradie information
A published profile is a business listing. It does not publish every detail a tradie supplies in the member area.
Information a published profile may show
The approved public profile fields may include:
- registered business name and full ABN
- logo and showcase work photos
- trade categories and service areas
- website and business description
- clearly labelled self-declared licensed-and-insured status
- the business’s answer about whether it is a registered NDIS provider
Information that is not public profile content
The public profile does not show the tradie’s contact name, private phone or email, account identity and verification details, billing or subscription records, licence or insurance supporting documents, private feedback, or the private records in the enquiry inbox. Those details are handled in the relevant member, administration or payment workflows.
Publication choices
Tradies manage the business information, optional website and description, logo and showcase content they submit through the private portal. The current visibility flow publishes a profile only when the membership, required coverage, profile details and self-declared licensed-and-insured condition are complete. A listing can be hidden when those requirements are not met.
Self-declared means self-declared
Tradies Now does not independently verify licensing, insurance, NDIS status or workmanship. Public status information is supplied by the business and should be checked before you engage it.

06 How we use information
We use information for the service purpose it was provided for, along with the operational purposes needed to run and support Tradies Now.
Service and communication
We use information to receive quote requests and direct enquiries, help connect homeowners with suitable tradies when contact has been agreed, send confirmation emails and business notifications, and support conversations about a request.
Accounts, profiles and membership
We use tradie information to create and maintain member accounts, profiles, coverage and directory listings, process membership and related paid services, show billing status, and manage profile visibility.
Safety, quality and support
We use information to moderate reviews, review private feedback, maintain security, investigate suspected misuse or service issues, provide support, improve the service and meet legal obligations. We may use information to keep public profile and review content accurate to the current workflow.
What we do not verify
A profile, self-declared status, review or search result is not an independent verification by Tradies Now of licensing, insurance, NDIS registration, workmanship or suitability for a particular job.
Tradies Now privacy policy
08 Payments and service providers
Tradies use payment and technology services to join, manage membership, receive notifications and keep profile systems running.
Membership payments
Full card numbers are handled by the payment provider, including Stripe, rather than by the Tradies Now member portal. Tradies Now receives the billing and subscription information needed to operate membership, such as payment status, subscription state and checkout results.
Technology providers
Service providers may process information for hosting and databases, Buildy Contacts and event records, email delivery, file storage and image delivery, AI chat and in-browser voice help, the blog CMS, and Stripe payment processing. Their own terms and privacy information may also apply.
Provider access
We use these services because they support particular product functions. The information each provider receives depends on the function being used, such as the details in a quote request, a member profile, a file upload, a chat message or a payment status.
Tradies Now privacy policy
09 Uploads and sensitive information
Upload only what the relevant form or member flow needs for the job or business profile.
Homeowner uploads
Use the homeowner form for job-related photos or project PDFs only. Do not upload passwords, payment details, government IDs, licence numbers, insurance documents, personal identity documents, unrelated sensitive information or urgent safety information.
Tradie documents
Tradies may provide business, licensing and insurance details, supporting documents and identity-verification information through private member areas. The public profile displays the approved business fields and self-declared status, not the supporting documents themselves.
File handling boundary
Uploaded files are handled through storage systems and the providers that support them. Supporting documents are not public profile content, but their underlying access is governed by storage permissions and provider controls. Submit only the documents the flow requests and remove unnecessary material where the product allows.
Keep uploads focused
A job photo, project PDF or business document can contain more information than you intended. Check each file before sending it.

10 Chat and voice help
Public AI helpers can explain the enquiry process, but they do not replace the forms that submit a request.
Public text chat
The public Tradies Now helper can process messages and limited page or form context to answer questions and guide you. Depending on where you open it, that context can include the page label, current quote step, selected trade, location, job type, timing and whether a description has been entered.
No quote submission by chat
The text helper does not submit a quote request or create a CRM contact by itself. You must return to and submit the relevant form. The optional homepage AI organiser also applies details to the existing form only after you review them.
In-browser voice help
The homepage can start an in-browser call with the Tradies Now AI helper. Your browser microphone is used while you are on the call. Call-related information may be processed by the voice service to provide the help requested. The current site control does not save a transcript or create an outbound phone call.
What not to share
Do not share passwords, payment details, government IDs, licence numbers or urgent safety information in chat or calls. Use the appropriate emergency or professional service for urgent safety matters.
A guide, not a submission
Chat and voice help can explain the next step. The quote or enquiry form is the step that sends a request.

11 Storage, security and retention
We keep information for as long as it is needed to provide the service and handle the responsibilities that come with running it.
Access and security
Current member, enquiry, review, feedback and billing flows use account checks, record-level permissions and administrative controls intended to keep private records within the relevant workflow. Public profiles use a limited set of approved public fields. No online transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
How long we keep information
We retain information for as long as needed for service delivery, account management, billing, safety, dispute handling, security, fraud prevention, backups and legal obligations. The appropriate period can differ by the type of information and the reason it was collected, so this policy does not invent fixed retention periods.
After a profile or account changes
If a profile is hidden, a membership ends or you ask for deletion, some information may remain where it is reasonably needed for billing, legal, safety, dispute, security or backup purposes. Public and private records can have different handling requirements.
Tradies Now privacy policy
13 Access, correction and deletion
You can contact us about information held through Tradies Now, and tradie members can update much of their profile through the private portal.
Make a request
Email hello@tradiesnow.com to ask what personal information we hold, request a correction, or ask us to delete information. Tell us which flow or account the request relates to and what outcome you are seeking. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
Tradie profile updates
Tradies can update business, contact, service-area, profile and upload information through the member area. Public visibility may change when the profile, membership, coverage or declaration requirements change.
Limits on deletion
We will consider deletion requests in light of the current service and applicable law. We may need to retain some information for account, billing, safety, disputes, security, legal obligations or backups, and information held by a service provider may also be subject to that provider’s processes.
Tradies Now privacy policy
14 Complaints and contact
If you are concerned about how Tradies Now handled your information, contact us so we can review the concern.
Privacy questions and complaints
Email hello@tradiesnow.com with the subject Privacy request or Privacy complaint. Include enough detail for us to find the relevant account, enquiry, profile or message, and explain the correction, access, deletion or response you are seeking.

Trade-work complaints
This policy covers information handling. A complaint about a tradie’s work, quote or conduct should also be raised with the relevant business. Tradies Now is an introduction service and does not independently verify workmanship or decide every dispute between a homeowner and a tradie.
