For Australian tradies
Questions about joining?
Find clear answers about profile setup, automatic visibility, public enquiries, customer reviews and membership.
Getting started
Start with a clear business profile
What is Tradies Now?
Tradies Now connects Australian homeowners with local trade businesses. A member profile gives your business a place to show its services, work areas, website and work photos, while homeowners can send job details through your public profile.
How do I get started?
Create or sign in to your Tradies Now account, start the membership checkout and complete the private profile form. Add your business details, trade categories, service postcodes and profile information, then save your profile. Visibility updates automatically when the requirements are complete.
What businesses can join?
Tradies Now is for Australian businesses that help homeowners repair, maintain or improve their property. Your profile should describe the work you offer and the areas you service.
Profile setup
Complete the details for automatic visibility
What details do I need to complete?
You will need a valid ABN, your registered business details, relevant licence or qualification information where your trade is regulated, an identity verification method, and insurance details or evidence where applicable. Keep sensitive ID numbers out of the form.
Do I need an ABN?
Yes. A valid ABN is required for a Tradies Now business profile. The ABN appears on an eligible public profile so homeowners can check the business identity for themselves.
How does profile visibility work?
Your listing can publish automatically when your required business details are complete, your membership is active or trialing, paid postcode coverage matches your saved service area, and your licensing and insurance declaration is true. Verification information and uploaded evidence stay in the private member record.
Profiles and enquiries
Show the work you want
What can homeowners see?
An eligible public profile can show your registered business name, ABN, logo, work photos, trade categories, service areas, website, description, NDIS provider answer and your self-declared licensing and insurance status. Your contact name, phone, email and verification material stay private.
Can I link to my own website?
Yes. Add your business website in your profile. Once your profile is eligible for public visibility, the website appears as a clickable external link on your public Tradies Now profile. Use a website address you control and keep it current.
How do homeowner enquiries work?
A homeowner can send their contact details and job description from your public profile. The request is saved in your private portal and sent to your business email so you can reply directly.
Where do new enquiries appear?
New public profile requests appear in the Customer requests section of your private tradie portal. Keep your business email current so notification messages reach the right person.
How are customer reviews handled?
A customer review is held for your approval before it can appear publicly. You can review and approve or decline it from your private portal. This customer-review step is separate from automatic profile visibility.
Membership and coverage
Know what your membership covers
What does membership cost?
Membership is $20 AUD per week, with the first 14 days free. Payment details are collected at checkout and weekly billing starts after the trial unless you cancel.
Is there a lock-in contract?
No lock-in contract applies. You can manage your payment details or cancel through the secure Stripe customer portal linked from your member area. Your subscription access and billing follow the terms shown in Stripe.
What are postcode coverage units?
Your primary service postcode anchors a 60 kilometre coverage zone. Postcodes beyond that distance can create additional zones, and each additional zone needs a recurring membership unit. The portal shows the coverage and any units still required before your listing can go live.
What keeps my profile private?
A profile can remain private while required business details, an active or trial membership, paid postcode coverage, or the licensing and insurance declaration is missing. Visibility updates automatically after the missing requirement is complete.
